Dr. Matt Butnaru is a scientist at the Arthropod Cell Screening Facility.

He has more than 10 years of experience in molecular and cell biology, including 5 years of experience with the Perrimon lab and Drosophila RNAi Screening Facility, where he led the development of CRISPR screen platforms for *Ixodes scapularis* cells.

Matt has successfully developed, optimized, and implemented technologies and workflows that improved the efficiency of our screening platforms.

In addition to being a highly productive, innovative, and creative member of ACSF research innovation efforts, Matt is also a dedicated mentor, training and overseeing interns and staff in research strategy and applications.
