Dr. Raghuvir 'Ram' Viswanatha is an innovator in arthropod cell screening. His insight regarding use of RMCE for integration of guides enabled him to conduct the first-ever successful CRISPR screen in an arthropod cell line.

Ram has since gone on to both apply the screen technology -- with a focus on identification of receptors and mechanisms of action for bacterial toxins -- and improve the screen technology.

Dr. Viswanatha's forward-thinking approach to research, deep knowledge of cell biology, and broad understanding of molecular genetics have made him an integral part of the ACSF research and innovation team.
